A loan helped to buy food for her pigs.

Noong Het 88 Group's story

Thoa, 34, is an ethnic Thai woman living in a poor and remote area with her husband and two children. Their income is mostly from agricultural products such as sugarcane, banana, rice, fish, pigs, and chicken. Her son is studying in grade 10, and her daughter is in grade 6. She works harder to cover tuition fees and ensure for her kids the best opportunity to learn fully and have better conditions than she has.

Recently, she has taken out a loan from the Anh Chi Em program to buy food for the pigs, with the hopes that her family can expand their pig farming to increase their income. This couple dreams that their children will have better lives than they do.

In the picture, Thoa stands at the first from the right.
