G.s Cafetal#1 Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fertilisers and farming supplies, make several 'zarandas' (wooden lattices for drying coffee beans) and pay labourers to work the land.

G.s Cafetal#1 Group's story

Juan is 38 years old. He is married. He lives with his wife and two sons in an indigenous community in the municipality of La Esperanza, Intibuca.

He has been working in agriculture for 14 years growing coffee cherries and wet and dry processed coffee beans. He carries out the work on his property. He offers his customers good quality coffee in the local market.

His goal is to grow his business and expand his sales by harvesting new crops like maize, beans, and to have his products reach other places in the country. His dream is to be a great farmer in his community and make a larger profit in order to provide better upkeep for his farm and a better standard of life for his family.

Juan is requesting a loan as part of a group for the sum of 107,000 Lempiras. With this he will buy fertilisers and farming supplies, make several 'zarandas' (wooden lattices for drying coffee beans) and pay labourers to work the land.

The group is made up of four members. They all have a great deal of experience in farming. In the photo from left to right they are: Jose, Juan, Ricardo and Anselmo.
