Fanta's Group's story
These two women belong to a Banc Villageois founded in early July 2002. They are essentially involved in small retail and they sell various items. Fanta, the woman raising her hand on the right, is the group's representative. She is a 52-year-old widow and the mother of eight children, five of whom are girls. She has been involved in small retail for several years. She plans to use her new loan to buy a large quantity of clothes and fabrics, a few 20-liter cans of palm oil, and three bags of millet which she will resell from home. She will use her profits to cover her children's tuition fees and healthcare costs , and to take care of her family's daily expenses.
