Saly's Group's story

The Banc Villageois, to which this group of 32 women belongs, was set up in July 2002. The women are mainly active in the trade of various products.

Rose Angélique, who is on the right of the photo with her hand raised, is the group's representative. She is 51 years old, married and mother to six children, two of whom are girls. She has been developing her business for several years now, and with this new loan is planning to buy a significant quantity of vegetables and pigs, which she will resell at her home and at the market.

The profits she makes will be used to help her husband with the daily outgoings, to pay for her children's schooling and healthcare, and to build up savings.
