A loan helped to buy fish and shrimp.

Binta's Group's story

The banc villageois that this group of six women belongs to was founded in October 2001. Their main business is buying and selling various products.

Madame Aissatou, the member on the right side of the photo raising her hand, is the group's representative. She is married, 35 years old, and mother of nine children, including six girls. She has been growing in this field for several years.

With her new loan, she plans to buy 100 kg of shrimp and four tubs of fish that she will sell at the local market. The profits will allow her to help her husband with the daily expenses, to support the education and health of her children, and to save money.
