Musarat's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy raw materials, such as thread, fancy cloths, sequins and pearls in various colours, to have in stock for her embroidery business.

Musarat's story

Musarat, 29, lives in the area of Muzaffargarh, Pakistan. She has two children and has been running an embroidery business for five years to meet household expenses. Her language is Punjabi, which she speaks with her family. She speaks Urdu culturally and for her business.

The family lives in their own house, which is made of brick and has drinking water, electricity and plumbing. Her embroidery business is very famous in the area, and this is why her business runs well. Due to good relationships with her customers, her business has increased, and Musarat wants to meet the demand for bridal dresses. This is why she wants to buy thread, fancy cloths, sequins and pearls in various colours to have in stock.

Musarat requires capital to buy these desired items but does not have sufficient cash on hand. Her challenge is to have sufficient capital to run the business and be able support her family in its present form. Therefore, she has humbly requested a loan from BRAC Pakistan. With this loam, she will be able to buy the thread, fancy cloths, sequins, and pearls in various colours that she needs.

Musarat and her family will be thankful to Kiva, its lenders and its field partner BRAC Pakistan for helping them by funding this loan to improve their living standards.
