Agatha's story

The loan will be used to purchase braids, hair oil and shampoo, and will help Agatha to generate greater profits. Agatha will use the profits from the business to pay school fees for her child, buy for them items for school requirements, buy for herself necessities like clothes and provide basic needs for her family like food. Thereby improving on their standards of living. Agatha hopes that in the future she will be able to finish up the house she is building.

Agatha is a member of BRAC's Empowerment and Livelihood for Adolescents (ELA) program. In addition to microfinance loans, the program provides a safe place for young Ugandan women to take part in group activities.
