Waheeda's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy ingredients like rice, chicken, and vegetables for her son's food stall (canteen) at school.

Waheeda's story

Waheeda, pictured with her son, is 50 years old, has two children, and lives in a small house in Multan. Her house's condition is not up to the mark as a place to live.

Her son owns a food stall (canteen) in a private school to which he carries different food items from home to offer the students and teachers. He has engaged in this business for three years by cooking and selling dishes like rice, curry, and chicken.

Waheeda applied for a Kiva loan from BRAC Pakistan in order to buy ingredients such as rice, chicken, vegetables, and cooking oil for her son’s food canteen.

This is Waheeda’s 4th loan with BRAC Pakistan, and she is hopeful that it will help build the business and raise her family's living standard.

She is grateful to all Kiva lenders and BRAC Pakistan.
