A loan helped to increase working capital:.

Buena Vecindad Group's story

The communal bank "Buena Vecinidad" has been working with our Institution since the year 2007. Its principal feature is that the majority of its members are older, and they sell CDs, binders, sweatshirts, and skirts and they also make jackets and blankets. Rosamary is one of the founding members; she holds the title of president and her business is a store. She will use the loan to increase her working capital and will buy more products that are basic necessities. With the earnings from her store she plans to save for the education of her 2 adult children who are studying at the university. Maribel is a young member who holds the title of secretary. She is a nurse's aiD., and also has a bookbinding business that she carries out in her home. With the loan she will buy a drill for binders that will help to speed up her work and increase her orders, in this way increasing her income from this source. Alex is the treasurer of the bank. He sells CDs in the city of El Alto. With the loan he will be able to travel to the locality of Desaguadero, on the frontier shared with Peru, to buy VCDs, CDs for MP3 and Mp4 at wholesale. In this way he can manage to diversify his products, and with this income he is saving to buy a kiosk in the center of the city.
