A loan helped to restock second-hand bedding materials.
Sticking Group's story
Nyasha is a 60-year-old widow with six children. Three of the children are still in school. She lives in the Chipadze high density suburb of Bindura. She has done a variety of businesses. In the past two years to date she has been selling second-hand bedding materials. Though the economy has its ups and downs, she has managed to survive on different businesses. Since she is the sole bread winner, she makes sure to always make a profit of a dollar out of each day to feed her family. Nyasha restocks for her business from Mozambique mostly once per month. When she travels for restocking, her daughter sells for her for her to maximise profits. To survive competition, she restocks quality products that attract customers. She is in the Sticking group, which has four hardworking women. The group received training and a group loan. Nyasha used her portion of the loan to restock second-hand bedding materials.
