A loan helped to buy more fufu and palm nuts to sell.

Annie's story

Meet Annie, she is 48 years old and is married with six children. The ages of her children are 16 through 28. Three of her children are presently living at home while attending school. She deals in a business that sells raw fufu and palm nuts. She has dealt in this business for 15 years and has had no problems with it. Therefore, to get the most out of her business, she asked for a loan with BRAC Liberia. The loan will be used to buy more fufu and palm nuts to sell and increase her sales, volume, and profits. She says that her business is her only source of income. For this reason she describes herself as a hard-working business woman that moves around to sell from one community to another. She is proud of her business because it provides her daily needs. She started selling with her own finances and learned the trade from her mother. In the future she would like to grow her business. She says thanks for your support.
