Lumena's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more goods to resell at her small store in order to help provide a better income for her family.

Lumena's story

Lumena is a humble and hardworking 35-year-old woman and is married. She has a very good knowledge and experience with the kiosk business. She has one of her own which has been running for many years. Her store is located in a very good spot which is easy to find, and many people always come to buy her goods every day.

Running her retail business has made Lumena become more independent because she can be responsible for herself and also help support her family's everyday income. She would like a loan of $500 through KIVA''s field partner KIF to help improve her store. She plans to use this loan to buy additional supplies of goods such as biscuits, noodles, sugar, coffee, and many other things to resell at her store. Lumena hopes to expand the size of her business in the future as a result of her investment and wants to thank lenders for the opportunity.
