A loan helped to buy more bananas, sorghum, beans and Irish potatoes to sell.

Abishyizehamwe Group's story

Illumine is a 37-year-old mother of five children. She is married and lives happily in the Nyarubuye community with her husband. She is very committed to the living conditions of her family and she works hard daily in order to improve it.

For 18 years, Illumine has sold crops without any employee. She loves her work because it allows her to provide for her children, yet she wants to expand her business. That is why she is requesting this loan, so that she can buy more bananas, sorghum, beans and Irish potatoes to sell and increase her sales. The profits generated by this loan will be used to pay for her children's school fees. Moreover, this is her 1st loan cycle with Visionfund Rwanda and she is the Umucyo-Karenge group leader.

Consequently, Illumine is truly thankful towards the Kiva lenders for offering her this loan.
