Agreta's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to gain access to cost-efficient hybrid seed and fertilizer for maize cultivation.

Agreta's Group's story

Pictured above is Agreta, often described as an extremely friendly person. She is 34 years old and has five children. She is representing her group of 13 farmers in Kilolo North District, Tanzania.

Agreta is returning this season to work with One Acre Fund to get the best quality fertilizer and hybrid seed, which is why she decided to join in the first place. Agreta says that she is happy to have made that decision because, since she first joined in 2014, she has been able to consistently feed her family, which has improved her day to day life significantly. Agreta will use the profits from this season to send her children to school.

The group will use this loan to purchase seed and fertilizer to plant a total of 17 acres. Given that some members of the group will also be purchasing a solar light, with this loan, the group will also receive a total of three solar lights.
