Carolina's story

Carolina is a 56-year-old micro-entrepreneur from Sap Pedro, Laguna, Philippines. She is married to Ramon, who is 63 and works as an accountant. They have grownup children and the youngest is the only one left studying.

Carolina makes curtains and pillows as her way of living, and she has been doing this for several years already. She is glad to know that there are organizations that can help improve her business.

She would like to acquire a loan that will be used in buying fabric, needles, thread, lace and other materials for her tailoring business. She hopes to have more customers and dreams that her youngest child will finish college.

Carolina is a member of the Center for Community Transformation and meets weekly with her fellowship partners to share her life’s testimony and business experience with her fellowship members. She also draws strength and inspiration from the fellowship and listening to the Word of God. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 20 members. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social relationship among partners, and pay microfinance loans.
