Zeliatu's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to start her own business selling necklaces and liquid soap.
Zeliatu is a 24-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her six siblings in the Bawku West district in Ghana. She is requesting a Kiva loan to start her own business selling necklaces and liquid soap. Zeliatu plans to use the profits she earns to support her family and expand her business. She will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering two and a half hours per week as a member of the Campaign for Female Education (CAMFED) Alumnae association, CAMA, as a Peer Educator. At CAMFED she will lead life skills sessions for students in local schools on topics such as rights and choices, choosing a career path and active citizenship.
