A loan helped to buy a sewing machine to continue her tailoring work.

Fareeda's story

Greetings from Multan, Pakistan. Fareeda is a self-employed seamstress. She is 47 and the mother of eight. Having a big family means more expenses and so is the case with Fareeda's family. Her husband's income is not sufficient to cover the household expenses which is why she works to contribute along with her husband. She sews clothes for the neighborhood ladies. They like her stitching. She can make different cuts, designs and gives them neat finishings.

She wants to buy an automatic sewing machine to save time and make maximum orders with minimal time. She has therefore requested a loan from BRAC Pakistan with which she will buy a machine. She feels that this investment will be beneficial and she will be able to save money for her children's education.
