Thelma's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to start her own poultry business.

Thelma's story

Thelma is a 20-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her father in the Wedza in Zimbabwe.

She is requesting a Kiva loan in order to start her own poultry business. She wants to purchase 50 chicks, food troughs, and feed.

Thelma plans to use the profit she earns to support her family and further her education. She will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a Camfed Learner Guide, leading life-skills sessions, covering active citizenship and personal confidence with students at her local secondary school.
