A loan helped to buy seeds to make use of his fields.

Sabali Group's story

Soumaila is a Malian market gardener who is holding cabbages in his hands. He is 40 years old, married, and the father of 4 children, who all go to school and are respectively 18, 16, 12, and 9 years old.

For 18 years, he has been involved in market gardening, growing mainly cabbages. His business was made bigger when he began to borrow from RMCR. The institution buys seeds to make use of his fields.

His wife helps greatly in the business by distributing the products to wholesalers, retailers, and even the final consumers.

His profits are between 75,000 and 100,000 fCFA per month [around $130 to $175], which he uses to cover school fees, medical care, and food.

Water and materials problems hinder the development of his business and he wishes to pursue his business with the tools he has at his disposal.
