Vaelua's story

Vaelua is a 41-year-old married mother of four children. She runs a small elei (fabric printing) business in her community to earn a living. She has three years of experience with this business. She is well known in her community due to her lovely designs and good customer service. Vaelua works very hard to please her customers and to gain more profit to help cover her family’s weekly expenses.

Vaelua needs a loan to buy rolling materials, paint colors, paint brushes, a sewing machine, elei designs, and a sewing kit. These will help her to run the business. She joined SPBD in 2014. Vaeula's dream is to one day have multiple elei shops and more employees to help her run the businesses. Vaelua is very grateful for your support, and she is also encouraging other unemployed women to join the program and build a business to support their families.
