A loan helped to purchase more items used in the making of the king driver cake to increase her business.

Kadiatu's story

Meet 32-year-old Kadiatu from Waterloo 2 branch. She is married with five children between the ages of 8 months and 15 years old.

Kadiatu runs a food market and sells king driver cake to her customers around the community. She has been in this business for the past 10 years now and works eight hours per day and six days a week. Her other source of income is from her husband. Kadiatu says her business is going on well without any challenges.

Kadiatu requested this loan from BRAC to purchase more items used in the making of the king driver cake to increase her business. She says that the extra income from this loan will help to take care of her family. In the next five years, she wants to expand.

She says thanks and gives appreciation to BRAC and the Kiva community for their support.
