Milagro De Jesus's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy baguette bread as often as necessary to stock her business.

Milagro De Jesus's story

Milagro is single and has five children of ages nine, 14 (twins), 18 and 20 years, all of whom are dependents. She only receives child support from the father of one of the older children. The two eldest are already in college.

Milagro has worked for eight years now reselling baguette bread. She says that she got involved in this type of work while she was working at a bakery that is owned by her sister. She eventually decided to work independently so that she could generate a little more income to support her family.

She is applying for a loan to have capital available to buy baguettes as often as necessary to stock her business. This investment will be useful as the holiday season approaches, since sales generally increase during the last three months of the year and she will then be ready to meet her clients' demands. She also hopes to add tamales to her sales in order to earn extra income.

Milagro's greatest dream is to give her children the opportunity to continue studying so that they may become college graduates.
