A loan helped to pay for ten sheep and some fodder.

Fatou's Group's story

This group was created in 2012 when the 'banc villageois' was created. The group is composed of six women all living in the same village. They are active for the most part in commerce and livestock.

Ms. Fatou, aged 59, standing at the right in the photo with a hand raised, is the group's representative. She is the married mother of eight children, including four boys. She raises sheep.

With her loan, she intends to purchase ten sheep to fatten and resell at the weekly market in town. With the profits from her business, she plans to meet family needs and also to grow her business.
