Yacine's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy lemon juice, dried fish and some baobab fruit.

Yacine's Group's story

This group of 10 women is part of a banc villageois that was inaugurated in May 2001. The members work mainly in commercial activities selling various products.

Mrs. Khady is the group's representative. In the photo, she is the member on the right raising her hand. She is 39 years old and married with 5 children, 2 boys and 3 girls. She has been engaged in her commercial activity for several years.

Khady will use her new loan to buy 10 cans of lemon juice, 50 kg of dried fish and some baobab fruit to make ice cream. She conducts her sales out of her home, at the school and at the garage. Her profits will allow her to help her husband with day-to-day expenses and with the cost of their children's tuition and healthcare.
