Coumba's Group's story

This group was created five years ago. There is a good understanding amongst the members who live together. The group is made up of five members.

Coumba is the representative. She is standing to the right in the photo with her hand raised. Coumba is 54 years old, married and the mother of seven children. Four of them are boys.

She makes a living retailing millet and raising animals. Her business is carried out in her village and she distributes the products in the weekly markets. She plans on buying 2 tons of millet and seven sheep. The millet will be stocked until the price rises then she will resell the product. The sheep will be sold after they fatten.

She hopes to strengthen her saving in her group with part of the profits. She plans on supporting her husband with the rest taking care of the family's needs like education.
