Robin Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more materials for kitchen cabinet manufacturing and to pay carpenters for their work.

Robin Group's story

Lucia is a 38-year-old woman who lives in a developing suburb of Harare. She is a mother of four beautiful children who are currently going to school, and her husband is a till operator at a local supermarket.

Lucia is involved in the furniture industry. She buys materials mainly for kitchen cabinets and hands them over to experienced carpenters to produce well-designed units. She then pays for the labor and sells the finished products.

Lucia joined Thrive Microfinance for financial assistance in order to meet the increasing demand for cabinetry in the new suburbs. She is a member of the Robin Group of three businesswomen. They attended financial training sessions where they were taught about group dynamics that would strengthen them.

Robin Group members received five previous loans and paid them off very well. With their sixth loan Lucia used her portion to buy more materials for kitchen cabinet manufacturing and to pay the carpenters for their work.
