A loan helped to buy start-up inventory and market my business through social media outlets.
I was born and raised in Staten Island, New York and I am the youngest of 5 in my family. Growing up consisted of hand-me-downs and begging my parents for the latest sneakers. My dad would never just give me anything; if I wanted a new pair of sneakers then I was washing the car, mowing the lawn and doing other house chores for weeks to save up and buy them myself. As a young kid it was frustrating but now as an adult it has been the best thing my dad could have ever done because I know the value of a dollar and working on getting what I want. At 19 years old I became a mother and unfortunately due to domestic violence I became a single mother the same year my daughter was born. I used to struggle to make ends meet so bad that I made a poor decision and stole baby clothes from a store and was arrested. Thankfully I did not get a criminal record from that poor decision but it inspired me to begin changing my life. I went back to school and obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, in which I made the deans list almost every semester and was hired at a District Attorney's office where I worked an internship. While in school I had to learn to budget my money and only buy what I needed, however, my desire to look nice just did not want to go away. So I became a clearance rack queen, meaning I would create outfits that were stylish and had an extremely low budget. The goal of my business is to provide access to beautiful clothing, shoes and accessories at very affordable prices.
