Yacine's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy vegetables and dried fish.

Yacine's Group's story

This group is made up of 10 women who share strong bonds of solidarity and support. They live in the same village and seized the opportunity to join the women's group when it was established in their locality in 2018. Their main activity is small business.

Yacine, standing on the far right of the photo with her hand raised, is the group's representative. She is 28 years old and married with no children. She trades in vegetables and dried fish.

She gets her supplies from the weekly markets in the area. She is experienced in this work, having practised it for several years.

With this loan she plans to strengthen her stock of sacks of cabbages, carrots, aubergines, cassavas, and dried fish to resell them in her village. With her profits, she intends to save to meet her own needs and reinvest in the business to ensure its development.
