La Joya De Hornos Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to reforest pine forests to harvest the sap.

La Joya De Hornos Group's story

"To renew the forest" is Javier's primary objective, a mature man who has worked in the countryside from childhood and has gotten innumerable benefits from it.

With the eight members in his family, he has always instilled the respect and care for the countryside, the forest, and the environment in general, the same education which was offered to him. Thanks to this, he has memories from his childhood where he enjoyed the countryside with the work he did since the time he was little.

Although it is true that renewing the forest is a great challenge, it is also true that these days it is necessary to do it if we want to leave a good legacy for future generations. Javier, Paulino, and Gerardo, members of the group, in addition to facing the challenge of having to do more work in the countryside and above all doing heavy work, face more difficult situations when they realize that due to the economy, the efforts of reforestation may not bear fruit if it is not followed correctly and continuously. It is for this that he hopes with great joy that, through Kiva, they can get financial resources to provide care to the whole process which is involved in reforestation, since without the support of Kiva, this might only be an idea or a dream which does not materialize.
