A loan helped to purchase more slippers to increase her business.

Dora's story

Meet 35-year-old Dora from Tombo branch. She is married with 3 children between the ages of 5 and 16 years who are currently attending school.

Dora runs a slippers business and sells different kinds of male and female slippers to her customers around the community. She has been in this business for the past 10 years and works 10 hours per day and 6 days a week. Her other source of income is from her husband. Her main challenge is increase in the prices of goods every day.

Dora requested this loan from BRAC to purchase more slippers to increase her business. She says that the extra income from this loan will help to educate her children and to improve her standard of living. In the next 5 years she wants to expand to a big shop. She says thanks and appreciation to BRAC and the Kiva community for their support.
