Shushanik's story

Get to know Shushanik, an inspiring young agronomist from Aygeshat village, an area considered to have one of the most prosperous lands in Armenia. Shushanik currently lives with her mother and pensioner grandmother. Her father and brother are constructors working in Russia. They try to support the family as much as they can.

Shushanik carries on all the farming activities and keeps a farm of pigs. She has also already cultivated peach trees, cucumber, and beans for four years. She later sells the agricultural produce at local markets. This is the main income source for them at this time.

In order to develop the farm, Shushanik applied for financial support. She plans to expand it by one more pig and to increase productivity with good quality combined feed. As she also needs assistance in the farm, so she will hire a worker. The residuals from the loan will be allocated to repayment of a loan taken previously.

Shushanik and her lovely family are full of hopes to have better living conditions and a sustainable income, so that they are able to develop the farm even more.
