Ashley's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped expand and market a small town gift shop that only sells products from local artists and handcrafters.
I was raised by a single mom, and was the oldest of four girls. My mom always scraped to make things special for my sisters and I, and when I had girls, I knew I'd have to do the same for them, especially after leaving their dad a couple years ago. He was never encouraging of my dreams and when I decided to go to business school I knew that I would someday make use of my degree by owning a business. After a few HARD years of emotional and personal struggle, and really discovering who I am and why, and also who I want to be, I have finally arrived at a place where I love me, and am proud of the woman I am. I can do anything I set my mind to, and this business is living proof. I built it from nothing-repurposed all the stores fixtures from discarded furniture we collected from the curb, hand-painted our own store sign, and threw our own grand opening celebration. My dream is for my girls to see me succeed and know that they can do the same, in any way they choose. Laney, and Lily, ages 4 and 8, are my little balls of motivation and they watch everything I do, triumphs, failures and everything in between.
