Jackonda's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to gain access to cost-efficient hybrid seeds and fertilizer for maize cultivation.

Jackonda's Group's story

Jackonda, pictured above, has been a farmer for more than 20 years and is now proud to represent her group of 13 farmers in Kilolo South District. She is 48 years old, married, and has 4 children.

Jackonda likes to think of herself as a very friendly person. She has been working alongside One Acre Fund since 2014 and decided to represent her group because she wanted to be more active in her community. She says that being part of the One Acre Fund community has meant that she has been able to consistently feed her family. Jackonda plans to use the profits from this coming season to save more money for the future.

In total, Jackonda’s Group will receive inputs to cultivate 12.5 acres of land. Given that some members of the group will also be purchasing a solar light, with this loan, the group will also receive 7 solar lights.
