Dukundane Mutara Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more sewing fabrics and to produce more sewed clothes for sale.

Dukundane Mutara Group's story

Valerie is a 49-year-old mother of seven children, all of whom she managed to put in schools. She is married and lives happily in Remera-Ngaru-Nyarusange-Muhanga community with her husband, who is a farmer.

She is very committed to the well-being of her family; thus she works harder in order to improve her family’s living conditions.

For 22 years, Valerie has owned a cloth-sewing business, selling sewed clothes and offering repair services for clothes with rips. She has two employees.

She wants to expand her business, yet her lack of capital prevents her from doing it.

For this reason, Valerie is requesting this loan in order to buy more sewing fabrics and to produce more sewed clothes for sale, thus increasing sales, which will increase her revenues as well.

The profits generated by this loan will be utilized to pay for her children’s school fees.

Furthermore, Valerie is the Dukundane Mutara group leader. This is her first loan with VisionFund Rwanda.

Consequently, Valerie is genuinely appreciative towards the Kiva lenders for allowing to offer her this loan.
