Adama's Female Farmers Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for improved seed, organic inputs and tractor rental which will allow these farmers to escape subsistence by farming a larger area with a higher yield.

Adama's Female Farmers Group's story

Adama T (first on the right), the featured borrower of Adama's Female Farmers, is a Master Farmer in Masaprr village and has a large family of 11. She is a strong leader in the community, and regularly organizes women's activities.

Adama is a seasoned farmer who lost her business during the Ebola crisis but now refuses to give up despite losing a lifetime of work. She organised a large group of other women who similarly had prospered before the crisis, lost everything but now will not give up. All members are currently trapped in a cycle of subsistence and take extremely high-interest loans for poor quality inputs during planting time.

A no-interest Kiva loan will therefore enable this group of determined women to get back on their feet and back in business.
