Jane Blessings's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy simsim and peanuts to make peanut butter for selling.

Jane Blessings's story

Jane is a single mother with seven children living in Mafubira-Jinja.

She sells peanut butter to generate income so that she can fend for her children. Jane makes the peanut butter from home, packs it in plastic containers and then supplies it to food markets, shops and several individuals. However, she operates on a small scale, meaning that her returns are low. This is not enough to cater for her big family, given the fact that she is the sole bread winner of the family.

She has applied for a loan of 1,000,000 UGX to buy simsim and peanuts to produce peanut butter in large quantities for sale. This will improve her income inflow, thus making her financially able to fend for her children. Jane appreciates the support that will boost her business.

Her dream is to add value to her products through packaging and branding so that she can distribute to supermarkets. Jane believes that it will also act as a marketing strategy.
