Erina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy bananas to produce juice in large quantities.

Erina's story

Erina is a 37-year-old married woman with four children who all attend school. She is a resident of Jinja from where she carries out her activities.

Erina makes banana juice which she supplies to shops and canteens for income. She opted for this business because it requires low capital since she plants the bananas in her garden. She attributes the improvement in her business to the previous loan that she got from Kiva, and for that, Erina appreciates the support. This bettered her finances, which enabled her to pay her children's school fees.

She has therefore applied for another loan of 5,000,000 UGX to buy more bananas so that she can increase her production to meet the increasing demand. Erina is positive that her income will further improve, which will improve her family's livelihood.

Erina is grateful for the continuous support. Her dream is to add value in terms of packaging and adding preservatives so that she can supply to supermarkets.
