A loan helped to purchase stocks of dried maize, dried beans, ground nuts, and dried kapenta fish.

Norman's story

Norman is a man that is 46 years old and lives in Chegutu, Zimbabwe with his wife and 3 children. One child is in college, and two are in secondary school. He has been running his business of selling clay pots, dried maize, dried beans, and ground nuts for 12 years now.

Norman has requested a loan from Microhub to purchase additional stocks of dried maize, dried beans, ground nuts, and dried kapenta fish for resale. His business currently is brisk due to failed crops in the previous farming season which resulted in many people failing to harvest enough and requiring them to supplement their food requirements.

Income from this business will help him to support his family, including paying college and secondary school fees for his children and general family upkeep. Because his wife is not employed, this business is their only source of income.
