Loida's story

Loida is a 34-year-old micro-entrepreneur from San Pedro, Laguna, Philippines. She is married to Wilfredo, who is 34 and works as a driver. They have two children who are both studying and they work hard to provide them a good education. Loida has been selling frozen products for several years now. She also sells ice candy and yema (sweets made of egg yolk and condensed milk) for added income.

To keep her business running, Loida would like to ask for financial assistance that will be used in buying different frozen foods like hot dogs, ham, chicken nuggets, bacon, tocino, burger patties, pork, fish balls, etc. She hopes that her business will grow bigger and dreams that her children will finish college.

Loida is a member of the Center for Community Transformation and meets weekly with her fellowship partners to share her life’s testimony and business experience with her fellowship members. She also draws strength and inspiration from the fellowship and listening to the Word of God. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 20 members. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social relationship among partners, and pay microfinance loans.
