Zilkia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped buy more raw material and all the products that involves the labeling and packaging, construction of web page and separate a commercial space and its permits.

Zilkia's story

I am the daughter of a teacher and a real estate broker, both very talented and passionate about what they did. I grew up seeing them enjoying what they do. My admiration for them, led me to follow their paths and I became a very creative teacher even with skills for sales. In fact, during my adolescence, I used to work as a tutor for my classmates and neighbors, also as a cashier in pharmacies and supermarkets. Those experiences, in general, helped me to perform in the business area. At sixteen, my mother recognizes my love for the beauty industry and enrolls me in a Nail Technology Institute on Saturdays' courses. I did not really enjoy studying on Saturdays, but that intuition of my mother and my interest in beauty, gave me what I enjoy today. Later, I graduated from BA from the Faculty of Education of the University of Puerto Rico. I used to be a teacher at the same time I was doing a Masters in Public Administration with a Certification in Leadership and Community Development from Rutgers University in New Jersey, preparation that allow me to serve in the communities around me, through Orgánica Nail system, the product I manage and distribute at the present. After the passage of Hurricanes Irma and Maria on the Island, I had to put all my skills into practice to support Puerto Rican people. During the tragedy, a very good friend asked me to offer presentations about how Organic works so that they would expand their knowledge and have the experience of trying the brand. To my surprise, they turned out in a happy and empowered women, which encouraged me to take Beyond Beauty Distributors to the next level.
