Temo's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped him to buy a used car and start working as a taxi driver.

Temo's story

Temo is 60 years old, single, and temporarily unemployed. He lives in the village of Kurdghelauri, has no source of income, and finds it hard to pay for even basic needs. All the financial institutions rejected his loan requests because of his unstable financial condition and lack of experience. After several unsuccessful attempts, he applied for a loan from the Credo bank. His request was approved in the framework of the bank's Start Up program, which is joint initiative with Kiva, and designed to permit the rural poor to start or re-start businesses.

Temo plans to use his loan to buy a used car and start serving people and tourists as a taxi driver. His goal is to earn enough money to effectively pay his monthly expenses.
