The banc villageois of which this group of 14 are members was formed in December 2010. It is made up of women who in the majority have solid experience in small business, this being their principal activity.
Madame Ansarou (standing at the far right with one hand upraised) is the representative of the group. She is married. She is 46 years old and mother to 7 children.
She is active in small business.
This new loan will allow her to buy 5 sacks of cabbages, 1 basket of smoked fish, 3 50kg sacks of carrots, and 10kg of peppers. She also plans to buy 10 yards of "wax", a kind of "pagne" fabric, which she will sell retail from her home.
The profits will allow her to participate in the management of family expenses and to reinforce her savings.
