A loan helped to buy organic fertilizer and seeds.

Reinalda's story

Reinalda is 24 years old and the single mother of a baby, whom she lives with in the town of Mizque in the Cochabamba-Bolivia department.

She and her baby live in their own house very close to her farm land. Reinalda has been a farmer for six years, and she learned the work from her ancestors. She grows tomatoes, carrots, and onions, depending on the season. She works Monday through Friday on her farm, accompanied by her baby. On the weekends, she sells her harvest at the local market or the city market in Cochabamba.

She is requesting her third loan from Fundacion Sartawi, which she will use to buy fertilizer and seeds to start sowing. She hopes to finish constructing her house, and to see her child grow up.
