but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

Maria Floridalma's story

Maria is 28 years old, a single mother, and has two children with whom she lives in the community of Lepaera, Lempira. She has a lot of experience in agriculture since, from the time she was little, she supported her parents with the family crops.

Now she has her own coffee plants, these she has on her own farmland near her house and she sells her yield in her community and to order to her customers. In addition, she sells basic grains such as beans and corn by the pound.

She is asking for her first loan cycle with the institution, for the amount of 30,000 lempiras. She will invest a part of the loan in her plots of land, and in the purchase of 20 sacks of fertilizers, liquid fertilizers to apply to leaves, soil amendments, chicken manure, lime, and with the other part, she will purchase more coffee seeds to have a better yield and she will pay laborers to maintain the land.

Her dream is to purchase more land to increase her crops, manage to offer a better quality of coffee, and that her sales increase and, with the earnings she gets, to offer her children a better quality of life.
