Goma, North Kivu province, North-Kivu, Congo (DRC) / Retail

La Merveille Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy various products (barbarises [possibly windshields or batteries], tires, 2 cartons of motor oil, wheel wrenches, etc.).

La Merveille Group's story

Madame Veronique is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima. She’s a female entrepreneur with innovative ideas who sells car parts. She displays her merchandise in her shop which is situated along a commercial street. She is also the leader of the group La Merveille [“Wonder”] and the mother of 5 children who all go to school.

She began her business in 2008 with her own funds thanks to the financial support of her husband. She joined Hekima's loan program in the beginning of 2015 to reinforce her capital. With this new loan, she will buy diverse products (barbarises [possibly windshields or batteries], tires, 2 cartons of motor oil, wheel wrenches, etc.) to grow her business and to give her customers durable and good-quality auto parts.

She stocks up on supplies in Kampala, Kenya, Kigali, and Tanzania and sometimes also in China, Dubai, etc. She seizes opportunities to sell to taximen, vehicle owners, businesses, and NGOs established in the city.

She would like to progress in business, become a wholesaler, and educate and feed her children. Finally, she thanks Hekima and its partners for the support they bring to unbanked entrepreneurs. Thanks to the loans from Hekima, she’s able to take care of her family.
