A loan helped to buy baby goats and animal food for her goat-raising business.

Kousar's story

Kousar is a 41-year-old woman who lives with her spouse in the area of Muzaffargharh, Pakistan. Kousar has four children. Kousar has been raising baby goats as a source of income for four years.

Kousar is a borrower of a BRAC Pakistan. She receives financial aid from BRAC Pakistan for her livestock business. She buys baby goats from the goat markets. She then raises the goats until the following season when she re-sells them in the same markets with the help of her husband during festival seasons such as Eid ul Azha (Sacrifice Eid, which is a Muslim sacrifice festival).

Kousar plans to grow her business for a better future. Kousar requested a 40,000 PKR loan through BRAC Pakistan to buy baby goats and animal food for her goat-raising business.

Kousar and her family will be thankful to Kiva, its lenders, and field partner BRAC Pakistan for helping them by funding this loan to improve their living standard.al
