Mereani's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy bags of cassava, taro, cabbages, eggplant, carrots, kumquat, tomatoes, coconuts, chilies, and other produce.
Mereani, age 44, resides near the roadside of Lakena. She sells her farm produce from a small stall adjacent to her home. She buys her stock from wholesalers in the central market and manages to make $23 a day, depending on customer demand. She will use the loan to add more inventory to her stall. Hopefully the increased income will help meet the cost of her children’s education and generally improve their living conditions.
