Nim Group's story
Nim, 48, appears first of the left in the photo. She is a widowed mother of two children whom resides in the village in Prey Veng province, Cambodia. Nim is a farmer and has been cultivating rice to earn a living for the past 20 years. And her family’s income also aided by her two children who are garment factory workers. Nim and her children are able to earn around 11.5US$ per day. Nim is representing this group of six members asking for a group loan. She is going to use her share of the loan to purchase additional seedling for harvesting this dry season. She sees this purchase will help her to growing rice both dry and rainy season to boost her crop yields as well as raise her family’s living condition.
