Imelda's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy fabric, needles, thread, lace, zippers, and other materials for her sewing business.

Imelda's story

Imelda's business is continuously growing. She gives her thanks to Kiva lenders for allowing this to happen, by giving her the loan that she used in her tailoring business. She was able to buy the materials needed in her business and more customers were served. She also earned income that she used to send her children to school and save for the future.

To keep her business running, she would like to request a loan again that will be used to buy fabric, needles, thread, lace, zippers, and other materials for her sewing business. Aside from the expansion of her business, it is also her desire to have better living conditions.

Imelda is a member of the Center for Community Transformation and meets weekly with her fellowship partners to share her life’s testimony and business experience with her fellowship members. She also draws strength and inspiration from the fellowship and listening to the Word of God. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 20 members. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social relationship among partners, and pay microfinance loans.
