David's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy cows that he will slaughter at his butcher during the festive season.

David's story

David is fifty-nine years old. He has been a widower for ten years. He has three children, all of whom attend school. He is a repeat customer of UGAFODE and has been servicing his loans faithfully.

David operates a butcher shop as the main source of income to support his family. He also does farming to earn extra income, and also to ensure a food supply at home. His butcher business has grown gradually thanks to an increase in sales due to a previous Kiva loan, coupled with his good customer service.

As we approach the festive season, David wants to buy cows that he will slaughter at his butcher before the sellers hike prices.

He applied for a loan of 5,000,000 UGX to buy the cows. He is confident that he will be in a position to serve all his customers, which will increase his income. He is so thankful to Kiva funders for supporting him tirelessly, which has allowed his business to develop into one of the most preferred butchers in town.
